September 11th 2001 changed American lives in many ways. Please post any thoughts or comments that show how change has occurred. Feel free to reflect any thoughts or post any comments about the 9/11 documentary as well.
Question 1: I think the most powerful part in the movie was when the two towers collapsed. It made the firefigters ban together to get out and everyone else ban together to get through it.
the most powerful part of the video, in my opinion, was when the towers fell. The way they just collapsed when it was the last thing anyone expected was terrifying. it didn't really hit me that this really happened until i saw them fall. And as for showing it to future classes, i think you should, because this was a defining moment in our history and future generations need to know about it.
I would recommend this because future civics classes probably don't remember 9/11.
When the planes hit & when towers collapsed would be the most powerful parts. They were bery dramatic. I am still surprised that someone caught the first crash on film.
This documentary was different because it was in the action. It was sad just seeing the expressions on people's faces while they watched the towers. The disbelief was really clear on their faces. To them, it was impossible that this could happen to the U.S.
We should keep watching it every year because it's the real, unfiltered truth about 9/11
I agree with Ben that the most powerful part of the movie was the expressions on people's faces. To them it must have been so much more real than it was for us in 2nd grade. I don't know about anyone else, but in 2nd grade I really had no idea at all what was going on.
And yes, I would recommend watching this film in future years, it's too important of an event to let anyone forget about.
I think you should definitely show this to future classes. All Americans need to know their history, the good and the bad. The most powerful parts were when the towers collapsed and when you heard the people jumping out of the buildings.
It was amazing knowing that they didnt even try to get this on tape. they were just there to witness this terrible event.
most powerful part was when they taped the first plane crashing into the first twin tower.
defiantly watch it with future classes because we were so young in second grade we didnt really know what was happening so for sure the kids in years to come will not remember this event very clearly.
the most powerful part in my opinion was when the plane flew into the first tower. just seeing the faces of the people on the street completley in shock just made it feel more real.
i would definatley show it in future civics classes because this was a turning event for our country and i think the kids should get to know about what happened since they didn't get to remember it as clear as we did.
I think the most powerful part of the documentary was when they taped the first plane hitting the tower. Also all the people standing in the streets just looking up at the building. I would definitely recommed watching the movie in future classes because they probably dont remember this happening so it would be interesting to see it.
I think that the most powerful part of the film was the whole thing because if you can't just pick just one part it's not its every second of the documentary because its such a powerful film!!
I think that this film is totally worth watching in future years to come because those kids didnt really remember as much as we would so they'd get to know what it was like!
The thing that touched me the most was how the people reacted when the planes went in. Also I thought it was cool how the fire fighters were willing to go back into the rubble to look for survivors. I would reccomend to show this again just to big of history to forget.
I think the most powerful part about this documentary was when the towers fell and everything went black. I would definitly recomend this to future civics classes.
I think the most powerful part of the movie was that it was in action. The fact that these two men from France just happened to get it on tape was so cool. Like they say, someone is choosen to record history, and it just happened to be them. I would recommend this film to be seen by all the 9th graders in the upcoming years
I thought the strongest part of the movie was when the planes crashed into the towers and when they fell and when people were jumping out of the towers. i would say yes for more classes to see it.
In my opinion, the most powerful part of the video was when the planes hit the two towers. When you hear about the crash you just think oh my goodness a plane flew into a building this can't be real nothing like this would ever happen, but when you actually see it it just blows you away to think that thats real footage.
And for shwoing in it future classes i think that you should. Kids maybe a year younger than us might not remember it, but they need to know what happened. It was the first time we've been attacked on our own soil and it was a very tragic event. No one who lived during 9/11 will EVER forget what happened. Kids need to know what happened on the tragic day even if they weren't alive.
I thought that the most powerful moment in the documentary was when the fire fighters were willing to risk their own lives again to go into the the second buliding hit. I thought it was the most powerful moment because its not everyday that average people are willing to give up everything to help complete strangers that they dont even know. I do believe that you should show this film to future civics students because I really learned alot from just watching a short documentary.
i thought the most powerful part was when you saw the firefighter throw up and then go back to search for survivers because it shows what they went through and how much guts they have to go back. i think you should show it to future civics classes.
i think the most powerful points of the movie are when the towers fell and afterwards, the firefighters helping the people on the streets despite all the dust and debris. i do think this is worth sharing to other classes because they will probably not remember it or remember bits and pieces of it. This movie i think helps everyone to grasp the concept of how tragic this day was.
What is so powerful is that this actually happened..., it's not just a blockbuster movie, no, this was real film, real info, and real lives. What made me more touched is how all of the firefighters banded together, and tried to overcome the odds. I would definentally recomend this for future use.
I think that the whole film was powerful and I envy those firefighters who were brave enough to go in there to rescue all those people. I would recommend having you show this film to future civics classes because it is a very good reality check and I think sometimes in our lives we need that.
on another note i would like to congradulate myself because i finally got on the website and made my blog! yay!

I would say that change has occurred as in security. Just about everywhere security is different especially airports.

I think the most powerful part in the film was when the tower fell. I have never seen such up close footage of the towers before.
I think you should still show this to future civics classes because we still remember this day but the kids younger than us might not remember it.
